Wow! I finally got around to downloading Simutrains. What an awesome job all you folks have done with this game.
Coming from TTDx/OTTD (and Railroad Tycoon 1/2/3, Locomotion, Trainz. . .) I really enjoy the challenge of having to actually manage a railroad. I have to think about real-world stuff like ROI (return on investment) and whether or not the line will earn back the capital cost of the rail/road and equipment. No more "Eh, the train is going there anyway. . ." Not that any real US railroads ever did that.
Thanks again- it's as if I were a billionaire with an army of programmers and graphic artists working on building the perfect rail simulator for me (except that I can't order up 4-4-0 Americans and "eight wheelers", "ten wheelers", Consolidations and K-4 Pacifics.
