pak64 Electrification
Last Edit: April 24, 2007, 02:32:18 PM by Timothy
Railway electrification for pak64. I've tried to improve upon the default electrification of the pakset a bit, the wires are now darker, so that they are less noticible and don't obstruct the view of the vehicle so much. The poles have player colour on them and are done in the same way as the pak128 electrification I made (with poles at the edges of tiles) which is I feel a better method in many respects. They go rather well with the signal set I recently made (the signal size is over-large for the scale, this is because scale signals would be very small and hard to see).

This is the high speed version, a lower speed (cheaper) version with single-poles will be finished soon. There's also more than likely going to be a tram/trolleybus version as with the pak128 set, though this is dependant on whether it looks good...

Anyway, a screenshot, paks will be forthcoming when I've finished the other versions.

EDIT: Added the .pak for the highspeed version, others I'll do tomorrow...

Lovely, pak for this? it should be in the official set! Smiley

Let's be nitpicky, would it be ppossible to make the catenary act as a catenary curve? Meaning, top cable should not be straight, and nearly touch lower cable in the farthest part from the poles..

Here is the sample.

pak's up now, as for the curve that should be reasonably possible! I'll give it a go tomorrow when I do the other types.

Re: pak64 Electrification
I found this a very strange electrification. Usually the two poles type is only used for streetcars in german (which is then only single wire). Highspeed is more often done with single side catenaries, as the current ones.
